- Dr. Liza M. Swedarsky currently serves as a gynecologist and minimally invasive surgeon as an Associate Gynecologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital in the Division of Urban Health. She has served women in seven of Boston's Community Health Centers since 2006. She has been named one of Boston’s Top Doctors.
She currently sees patients at Southern Jamaica Plain Health Center and Uphams Corner Health Center. She performs laparoscopic and robotic gynecologic surgery at Brigham and Women's and Faulkner Hospitals.
She attended Northwestern University receiving her BA in Biochemisty, University of Illinois College of Medicine, Chicago Campus, and completed a combined residency program in OB/BYN at Brigham and Women's and Massachusetts General Hospitals in 2006. After being in practice a number of years she pursued an AAGL fellowship in minimally invasive surgery and chronic pelvic pain from 2009-2011.
She is also the Founder and CEO of Health Vows, an organization educating women and promoting a mindful approach to life and healthcare via shifting consciousness. Themes of education, self- advocacy and self- empowerment are foundational to her workshops. She facilitates workshops centered around seven health vows. Through her workshop series she encourages participants to honor these “vows to self for better health.” Her workshop themes are built upon the foundation of universal truths. She launched https://healthvows.org, as digital mantra and dedication to women. Her ultimate goal is to catalyze a movement toward Health Mindfulness.
Liza also has a blog and has also written for Huffington Post, Thrive Global, and Sivanna East. Her writings, blogs and articles emphasize the creative power of thought, intentions, and each individual's ability to manifest. She is deeply committed to embracing and highlighting the triumphs of the spirit within each one.
