• Dr. Trigg is a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based in Seattle, WA. She completed her BSN in Nursing at Seattle University. After a long career as a bedside psychiatric nurse, she earned both her Master's and Doctorate in Nursing from the University of Washington where also completed the coursework for a Master’s degree in Biomedical and Health Informatics. Her doctoral work was supported by fellowships in Biomedical & Health Informatics from the National Library of Medicine. She was honored as the Nurse of the Year by the Association of Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurses. She has published works in the ANS/Advances in Nursing Science journal. She has been actively employed as an inpatient attending psychiatric provider since 2002 in crisis intervention settings at Navos Mental Health Solutions, Fairfax Behavioral Health, Swedish Medical Group, and others. She’s now in private practice working with adults and older adults specializing in the care of patients with complex comorbid medical and psychiatric conditions including mood disorders, thought disorders, ADHD, cognitive impairment and dementia. She practices from the nursing wellness paradigm and is skilled in diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, psychopharmacology, medical psychiatry, nutritional psychiatry, integrative psychiatry and uses her experience in crisis intervention and deep scholarship to keep her patients out of the hospital.
