Summary
- I trained and practiced in General Surgery and Critical Care at Duke, later serving in hospital leadership at Duke Regional and Duke University Hospitals. After 11 years as CMO at Duke University Hospital, I stepped down to complete a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. I am privileged to have a unique perspective in my faculty role in Palliative Care, supporting patients in their illness journey and continually considering ways we can improve systems of care for those patients receiving the highest level of medical support.
