Summary

• I completed my undergraduate studies at the College of Charleston where I graduated with honors with a major in Biology and a minor in dance. I then went on to medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. I completed my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. During my training I received invaluable experience in both low risk and high risk obstetrics, office based gynecology, extensive surgical training including minimally invasive techniques, urogynecology, reproductive medicine and gynecologic oncology.
  After residency I joined a practice with two other physicians where I worked for nearly eight years providing obstetric and gynecologic care, continuing to provide both office based care and surgical care. Now at South Lake Women’s Healthcare I focus on women’s health and gynecologic problems. Though the field of obstetrics has been rewarding, I will no longer offer maternity care, allowing me to focus my continuing medical education more intently on women’s preventative care as well as medical problems unique to women. This allows me to have one focus while you are in her office – you.
  I take an individualized approach to medical care. One problem may have many options for treatment and your ideal treatment may vary from another patient. I will take into account your values, lifestyle and expectations as I help you to choose a medical plan that works for you.
  I am a native of Cornelius, drawn back to the area to be close to family as well as enjoy the Lake Norman lifestyle with my husband and two children. I enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities, but especially being on the lake with my family.
  I am board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and am a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). I am licensed to practice medicine
