Summary

  • The first half of my 25+ years post-residency I worked in community mental health, collaborating with inpatient and outpatient teams, managing adults with severe mental illness. In 2007, I joined The Ross Center where I developed expertise in treating anxiety and related disorders (ie OCD, GAD, Panic and Phobias), especially in so far as these appear in women throughout the life cycle. Fall 2019 I segued to Veritas Health, a group of progressive mental health professionals in Spring Valley-DC. There I perform psychiatric evaluations, second opinions and the pharmacologic treatment of a variety of psychiatric conditions. I am a 25-year Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and assistant professor on the volunteer clinical faculty of George Washington University's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences since 1995. My most meaningful life pursuit was raising three children (all born during residency), including twins. That process provided valuable insight into the complex lives of the thousands of patients I have treated.
