Summary
- I am a rheumatologist and immunologist serving as a consultant to pharma and potential investors. I have had the privilege of being part of due diligence meetings, as well as advising VC and other groups about the mechanism of molecules under consideration and their potential clinical targets, anticipated usefulness in clinical practice, and expected uptake in the clinical community. I was in academia for 20 years and then worked with big and small pharma while employed by BMS, NovoNordisk, and PAREXEL. My subsequent experience as an independent consultant has allowed me to work in additional molecular types and clinical specialties.
