Summary
- Attending surgeon at UnityPoint Clinic in Quad Cities where I work with a multidisciplinary team of experts to provide high-quality care to patients. Some of the common pathology I care for is diseases of the gallbladder and appendix, abdominal wall/groin hernias, as well as foregut surgery, including hiatal hernia/anti-reflux surgery, and bariatric surgery.
I am a board-certified general surgeon and a fellowship-trained minimally invasive and bariatric surgeon. I completed a MIS/bariatric fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, and general surgery residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and Kings County Medical Center. During residency I began building my foundation in robotic and laparoscopic surgery and found a passion for bariatrics and minimally invasive surgery. I completed a preliminary year at Montefiore and Jacobi Medical Center, where I gained exposure to a diverse patient population and a variety of surgical specialties. I obtained my MD degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and my BA degree in Kinesiology from Occidental College in 2012.
