Since 2004, Dr. Hochberg has been a practicing neurologist at the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization and Massachusetts General Hospital. He is experienced in stroke, ischemic stroke, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Dr. Hochberg has multiple publications, including works in the New England Journal of Medicine, Nauture, Neurology, and the Neural Engineering. He is also involved in clinical trials focusing on stroke motor rehabilitation and an intracortical neural interface system for individuals with tetraplegia. He is also on the faculty of the Brown University School of Engineering and VA Providence Healthcare. He directs the Center for Neurotechnology and Neurorecovery at Mass General, and is a co-Organizer of the Implantable Brain-Computer Interface Collaborative Community.
