Summary

  • As an administrator and physician, my career has evolved from Primary Care Provider to Division Director/Medical Director in public health settings to senior-level administration management, teaching and executive leadership. In each position, my contributions have demonstrated vision with a talent for developing and executing strategic plans; effectively administering grant- and contract-funded programs and projects; forging public-private partnerships and other crucial alliances; and assembling/leading engaged, solutions-focused teams.

Building relationships and bringing together individuals and groups to accomplish bold, mutually beneficial goals is one of my greatest strengths. With a talent for "connecting the dots," I have successfully established and sustained numerous public-private partnerships and strategic alliances with key community agencies, businesses, government officials, health professionals, managed care systems, non-profits, and education programs. A number of these partnerships are still active and thriving after many years.

A trusted spokesperson and community health advocate, I build awareness and credibility for programs and organizations with the media, business community, professional associations, elected officials, and governing bodies.

Teaching and workforce development are also among my interests and passions. As an adjunct professor and instructor with the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, University of Arizona College of Medicine, and Touro University-Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine, I have experience in mentoring medical and public health students, preventive medicine residents, CDC assignees, and others. I take great satisfaction in inspiring the next generation of medical and public health professionals.

My credentials include an MPH in health planning & administration, Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), and board certification in preventive medicine & public health.
