Lawrence Knott Jr., MD is a general surgeon based in Wilmington, NC. He completed his medical education at Wake Forest School of Medicine, followed by an internship in a Transitional Year at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center/Parkland Memorial Hospital. He then served as a Captain US Air Force Flight Surgeon 1973-1972, He then undertook a surgery residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center from 1975 to 1979.This was followed by a peripheral vascular surgery fellowship at University of Florida School of Medicine Gainesville Florida 1979-1980. Dr. Knott is recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He then practiced general / vascular surgery at Lenior Memorial Hospital Kinston NC 1980-1989 and then practiced general / vascular surgery at New Hanover Regional Hospital Wilmington NC 1989- 2011.
