Summary
- I worked for two years as field service epidemiologist for the CDC, assigned to the Minnesota Department of Health where I worked under the supervision of Michael Osterholm on various disease outbreaks and public health problems. In 1982 I joined Welborn Clinic Internal Medicine Department practicing both inpatient and outpatient internal medicine. I was medical director of McCurdy and Brentwood nursing homes. I held various positions at Welborn Hospital include medical staff president, chairman of medical records, utilization, and pharmacy committees. Medical staff member St. Mary's (now St. Vincent) and Deaconess Hospitals. While at Welborn Clinic I guided the implementation of the NextGen EMR in 2004.
When I retired from primary care in 2015, I began working with the Epic EMR at Deaconess Health System. In 2016 I joined the faculty of Indiana University School of Medicine - Evansville.
