Summary

  • I am board certified in general surgery and finished completing a minimally invasive surgery and advanced abdominal wall repair fellowship under Dr. B Todd Heniford at Carolinas Healthcare Network in Charlotte. I am now working at University of Washington - Northwest Hospital. I am a part of their hernia center. I have a particular interest in both open and minimally invasive hernia repairs and solid organ surgery. My passion lies in comlpex abdominal wall repair in patients with multiply recurrent and difficult to treat hernias. This also includes patients with mesh infections and fistulas. I have gotten extensive training in minimally invasive surgery in both benign foregut disease such as GERD and paraesophageal hernia and in hindgut disease such as colon cancer, diverticulitis, and benign anorectal disease. I have a passion for teaching and would love to be involved in teaching residents, medical students, and ideally both. I have natural leadership qualities, and like to take charge of situations where I am involved.
