Summary

• Dr. Lauren E. Spoo, obstetrician gynecologist was raised in Boynton Beach, Florida, and subsequently received her Bachelor of Science degree, graduating with honors from the University of Florida. Dr. Spoo attended medical school at Florida Atlantic University College of Medicine, and then completed her OBGYN residency at Baylor College of Medicine here in Houston. She was the 2019 recipient of the Ryan Program Resident Award for Excellence in Family Planning, and in 2020 she was awarded the Resident Educator of the Year award. She has conducted research and published papers on genetics and medical ethics, and approaches her patient care with skill and compassion.
  Dr. Spoo enjoys running, softball, country music, and her silly cat Misty. Along with her fiancé from Katy, Dr. Spoo has settled in Houston and is excited to be part of the west Houston medical community. Her professional interests include minimally-invasive surgery, hysteroscopy, laparoscopic hysterectomy, adolescent gynecology, dysfunctional bleeding management, menopausal disorders, cervical dysplasia, sexual health, preventative care, and obstetrical care. She is pleased to join Memorial Women's Specialists practice in offering in-office hysteroscopy, ablation for heavy cycle treatment, 4D fetal ultrasonography for our pregnant patients, and multiple contraceptive options including long-term contraceptive inserts.
