Summary
- Dr. LaMont, M.D. was raised in New York and did her undergraduate training at Stanford University in California. After being drawn to surgery while working as a research assistant at the University of California- San Francisco, she went on to complete medical school at New York University School of Medicine. She then completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, which is consistently ranked the best orthopaedic hospital and residency programs in the country. Fellowship brought her down to Texas where she completed a pediatric orthopedic and scoliosis fellowship at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas. This experience then led her to join the Cook Children's Orthopedic team in 2015.
Dr. LaMont's interests and specialty training include scoliosis and spine deformity, early onset scoliosis, hip dysplasia, clubfeet, orthopaedic trauma and fracture care and other orthopaedic problems.
Dr. LaMont is an active member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, the Ruth Jackson Society and American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons as well as the Scoliosis Research Society. She is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
