Dr. Laure
ano A. Giraldez Rodriguez is the founder and director of the Voice and Swallowing Center of Puerto Rico. He completed his undergraduate education at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. He pursued his medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine where he graduated with Honors.
Dr. Giraldez-Rodriguez completed formal ACGME accredited training in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Puerto Rico. Following residency training he completed a fellowship in Voice and Swallowing Disorders at the prestigious Emory University Voice Center. Following his passion in the diagnosis and treatment of Otolaryngic disorders he pursued further training in Head and Neck Cancer, Transoral Robotic Surgery and Microvascular Reconstruction of the Head and Neck at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.
Dr. Giraldez has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and has contributed a number of chapters in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He is Board Certified in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He belongs to the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, the American Head and Neck Society and the American Bronchoesophagological Association
