Summary
- I'm Dr. Swamy, a board-certified ophthalmologist and eye surgeon. I'm trained to diagnose and treat all eye problems, with a specialty in children's eye conditions. I also specialize in eye alignment and double vision problems in people of all ages, including adults. Most of my patients do not need surgery, but when they do, I have the training and experience to operate on children and adults for eye alignment issues and other problems.
I am excited to launch my solo practice, SeekMD Pediatric Eye Care+Eye Alignment, the only ophthalmology practice entirely devoted to children and strabismus patients in the Raleigh area. Previously, I practiced in Asheville, NC, and surrounding areas, prior to starting my own practice.
I enjoy working with the tiniest of newborns, kids of all ages, and adults, all in a day's work. I have a special interest in eye issues particular to premature babies, and part of my practice is to see them while they are still in the hospital. I often watch them grow up over the years and get to know their families. Other reasons parents may make an appointment with me include:
A failed vision screen at school
Cross eyes
'Lazy' eye
Glasses
Eyelid problems
Vision problems
Eye trauma, or
If a child has a medical condition that affects the whole body, including the eyes.
I look forward to serving the community and providing exceptional care. Along with Porter Bayne, my husband and manager of SeekMD, we want to make eye care easier to access and easier to understand.
