  • I am Laith Numan, MD, a gastroenterologist currently completing an advanced endoscopy fellowship at UT Houston. I completed my residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine from 2017 to 2021, followed by a Gastroenterology fellowship at St. Louis University School of Medicine from 2021 to 2024. Along the way, I earned an MS in Clinical Research from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine (2020–2023). My research has been published on a variety of topics, including colorectal cancer, gastroenterology career trends, care transitions in cystic fibrosis, cannabis use and vomiting syndrome, and racial disparities in liver transplantation. Interested in innovation in GI, tissue resection, esophageal, biliary, and pancreatic diseases.
