  • I am a board-certified endocrinologist specializing in osteoporosis, fractures, and metabolic bone disease. I am am an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas and I hold academic appointments at Weill Cornell Medical College and Texas A&M University College of Medicine.

    I received my medical degree, with distinction in research, at Albany Medical College in Albany, New York. My postdoctoral training included an internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore and a fellowship in endocrinology at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

    I am the Program Director of the Houston Methodist Endocrinology Fellowship program. I have presented educational programs and research at national meetings including the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), Endocrine Society, and the American Society of Bone and Mineral Research.

    As the Director of the Fracture Liaison Service at Houston Methodist, I focus on coordinating treatment programs for high-risk fracture patients. I have expertise in the field of anabolic agents for treatment of fragility fractures.

    I am also the Principle Investigator for the Disease Monitoring Program (UX023-CL401) at Houston Methodist for burosumab, an anti-FGF23 monoclonal antibody which corrects phosphate homeostasis in individuals with X-linked hypophosphatemic rickets. I chaired the Endocrine Society's webinar series, "Best Practices: Managing and Diagnosing Hypophosphatemia."
