She received her undergraduate degree from Harvard College and medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. She has been in practice 20 years. She specializes in congenital heart surgery, pediatric cardiac surgery, pediatric cardiovascular surgery, pediatric thoracic surgery and minimally invasive heart surgery (mini sternotomy, VATS). She is experienced in neonatal and infant heart surgery---including premature babies---with coarctation of the aorta, hypoplastic or interrupted aortic arch, transposition of the great arteries (D-TGA, L-TGA), anomalous pulmonary venous return (TAPVR, PAPVR), single ventricle lesions (requiring Blalock-Taussig shunt, Norwood, Glenn, Fontan), complex congenital heart defects (HLHS, DORV, heterotaxy syndrome, Ebstein's anomaly), septal defects (ASD, VSD, AV Canal), pulmonary valve stenosis/insufficiency, tricuspid atresia, tetralogy of Fallot, truncus arteriosus, cardiac tumors, anomalous coronary arteries, and patent ductus arteriosus (PDA). She also performs heart surgery in adolescents and adults with congenital heart disease (ACHD).
