- Kristen D. Manter, MD, is a Board-certified Family Physician leader with expertise in ensuring excellence in primary care services, through primary care workforce development and continuous quality improvement to obtain the best outcomes for patients and communities. She believes that all people are deserving of high-quality primary care, regardless.
// She is currently Senior Medical Director for Oak Street Health, working with a multidisciplinary team to provide primary care to adults on Medicare in an innovative value-based care model in neighborhoods throughout New York City. She was the 2024 recipient of the Driving Clinical Excellence Award at the Oak Street Health annual leadership conference.
// Prior to Oak Street Health, Dr Manter was Chief of Primary Care for the Community Healthcare Network (CHN), a Federally-Qualified Health Center in New York City. She proudly served as Acting Chief Medical Officer for CHN in 2018. In early 2020 she spearheaded the implementation of CHN's Telehealth initiative in order to maintain primary care services throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
She established her practice at Brooklyn Plaza Medical Center where she was also the Director of Clinical Quality Improvement.
Dr. Manter completed her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and her Family Medicine residency at Brown University/Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island.
