Summary
- I am a student at Yale School of Nursing and will be graduating in May 2018 as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. For the last year, I have worked as a Registered Nurse at Yale New Haven Children's Psychiatric Inpatient Unit. I have been interning at the Community Health Center of New Britain, New London, and Meriden and have experience with adolescent, child, and adult patients.
My clinical rotations at Yale have allowed me to work with Yale New Haven Hospital's Psychiatric Consultation Liaison Service, various community health clinics, and APT Foundation's substance abuse clinic. My clinical experience includes conducting physical and mental health assessments, comprehensive initial assessments for medication evaluations, medication follow-ups, formulating plans of care, group and individual therapy, suboxone and methadone prescribing and medication management, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Throughout these rotations and settings, I have also learned to use several different information technology and electronic medical record programs.
I value team-based and comprehensive care and believe that healthcare should be a right, not a privilege.
