Summary

• Kira C. Watson MD, MPH is a board-certified practicing Internal Medicine, and board-certified practicing Pediatric outpatient physician who works in the clinical setting, delivering high quality evidence based medicine to her patients.
  
  She is passionate about the transition between pediatric and adult health systems for patients as a potential time of tumult. She spends time as transition consultant in both the pediatric and adult clinics for patients with spina bifida at Primary Childrens Hospital and the University of Utah. She is involved with the national Spina Bifida Association.
  
  Dr Watson is also trained in quality improvement and seeks to improve the health care system for those who can and can not access care. She serves as Director of Ambulatory Quality Improvement for the Division of General Internal Medicine.
  
  Dr. Watson graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Pomona College and received her medical degree and masters in public health from Tufts University Medical School. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine - Pediatrics, at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles General Hospital, and stayed on as a fellow in their Quality Improvement/ Patient Safety Program.
