Summary

  • I am a deep brain stimulation surgeon at OHSU. In 1991, after studying under the French neurologist and researcher, Dr. Alim-Louis Benabid, who developed the procedure, I became the first neurosurgeon in the U.S. to use DBS to treat a Parkinson’s patient. Since then, I have performed DBS more than 1,000 times.
