I’m married and the father of three children. My oldest son is an attorney in Los Angeles, and my daughter is currently a resident of Neurology at George Washington University. My youngest son is a Senior at Wayne State University and an avid computer coder. In addition to my family life, I’m an engaged civic leader and human rights activist, and along with my wife Marijo, I have founded, collaborated with, and invested in several non-profit organizations and programs that support humanitarian aid, foster resiliency, and promote community building and civic engagement for marginalized Syrians. I am a private pilot and avid bicyclist. I enjoy flying airplanes on weekends and biking to work at the hospital from home.
