Summary
- A graduate of the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Surgery Program, his training was coupled with a Fellowship in Adult Reconstructive and Arthritis Surgery at BWH (Harvard), with the original developers and pioneers of multiple total joint replacements. Dr Mansmann was also an International Fellow in Davos, Switzerland, in Fracture healing at the renowned Institute for Experimental Surgery. He has co- authored a publication with Dr. Stephan Perren who was one of the inventors and pioneers of Fracture Internal Fixation.
An expert in Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty ( joint replacement), his practice comprises of 85 percent joint related surgeries of the Shoulder, Hip and Knee. As a prominent Sports Medicine Specialist, Dr. Mansmann has been a U.S. Olympic Ski Team Physician for 15 years. He has also served as an Orthopaedic Consultant to the Philadelphia 76ers since 2008.
Dr Mansmann is founder and director of the Arthroscopy Research Institute and the AJR Foundation. He has been issued 14 patents for the development of Advanced Innovative Technologies for Arthroscopic Joint Resurfacing (T.J.R.). This research focus is an Advanced Arthroscopic Joint Resurfacing with flexible implants, replacing the functional microanatomy of hyaline cartilage.
Dr. Mansmann has more than 20 years years of experience in the classical, advanced and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
