Summary

I am a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in degenerative spine care as a clinician and surgeon at TexasBackInstitute. I am the former Residency Program Director and Professor at a large orthopaedic surgery program at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas from 2011-2019 helping train tomorrow's orthopaedic surgeons. My practice involves non-surgical and surgical care of Adult Degenerative Spinal conditions. I served as Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery from 2005 to 2024. In 2008 my team was awarded the Kappa Delta Award for Outstanding Orthopaedic Research along with the Volvo Award for Outstanding Spine Research in 1991, 1994 and 1995.
