Dr. Kevin Freels is an emergency medicine specialist in Melbourne, FL. He completed his family medicine residency at the University of Alabama Medical Center from 2013 to 2016 and pursued a fellowship with TeamHealth in 2016-2017. Dr. Freels has undergone extensive leadership training through the EDDA Director's Academy from 2018 to 2020. He currently holds multiple leadership roles at Melbourne Regional Medical Center, where he has been the Vice Chief since 2023, the Vice Chair of Medicine, and the Nominating Chair of the MEC since 2019. Additionally, he has been practicing as an emergency medicine physician at both Melbourne Regional Medical Center and INTEGRIS Health since 2016. His clinical expertise includes managing conditions such as hypertension, pericardiocentesis, myocardial infarction, cardiogenic shock, and ventricular tachycardia. He was honored as Physician of the Year by Melbourne Regional Medical Center in 2019.
