- Dr. Kent "Kye" Higdon is a board certified plastic surgeon in Cool Springs/Franklin, TN. Dr. Higdon specializes in aesthetic/cosmetic plastic surgery, hair restoration, and breast reconstruction. Dr. Higdon is grateful to have had the privilege of serving his community in the Nashville/Brentwood/Franklin, TN area for over 11 years. Prior to that, Dr Higdon practiced in private practice in Alabama. Dr Higdon created and was the director of the Fellowship in Aesthetic and Breast Surgery at Vanderbilt, where he was Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery and Vice-Chair of the Department of Plastic Surgery. Dr Higdon was fortunate to have world-class training in aesthetic surgery, hair restoration, and breast reconstruction. He was awarded the prestigious Aesthetic and Breast Fellowship sponsored by The Aesthetic Society (ASAPS) under the directorship of Dr James Grotting, which he completed after he was graduated by the Plastic Surgery Fellowship at Vanderbilt University. Dr Higdon's mentors over his many years of training were so many plastic surgery masters as Dr Bruce Shack, Dr Jim Grotting, Dr Pat Maxwell, Dr Axel-Mario Feller, Dr Christoph Heitmann, Dr Irene Richter-Heine, Dr Mary Gingrass and Dr Mindy Haws, Dr Phiilip Blondeel, and Dr Jack Fisher. Dr Higdon remains very active in education and research. He has had the honor of being invited lecturer internationally, as well as nationally, regionally, and locally. Dr. Higdon has more than 50 publications and over 500 citings. Dr Higdon is an active member of many national societies and regional societies, such as The Aesthetic Society, where he is a board member, Communications Commissioner, and Member-at-Large, SESPRS, and he is a Board Mmbr & ACCME chair, ASPS, the prestigious AAPS, AMA, among many others. He is an avid sportsman and enjoys college football, but especially all of the many sports in which his daughters play! Most importantly, Dr Higdon is a person of faith and proud husband and father.
