Dr. Kensho Iwanaga is a pediatric pulmonologist based in San Francisco, CA. He earned his MD from the University of California, Irvine, in 2006, and completed his pediatrics residency and chief residency at Children's Hospital-Oakland. He pursued a fellowship in pediatric pulmonology and completed an MS in epidemiology at the University of Washington. Currently, Dr. Iwanaga is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine, where he previously served as an Assistant Clinical Professor. His clinical expertise includes pulmonary function testing, tracheostomy, pediatric bronchoscopy, and pediatric sleep medicine. He has contributed to several publications, notably on topics such as substance use in cystic fibrosis, food insecurity, and mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a focus on pulmonary health in children.
