- Dr. Pettine’s career has seen him honored among the top 50 Spine and Specialist Surgeons in the United States. The author of more than 30 research publications and the co-inventor of the FDA-approved Prestige™ cervical artificial disc, and the Maverick Artificial Disc™, Dr. Pettine worked for 31 years as an orthopedic surgeon, co-founding the Rocky Mountain Associates in Orthopedic Medicine, the Society for Ambulatory Spine Surgery, and founding the Orthopedic Stem Cell Institute and the Premier Stem Cell Institute. Other career highlights include, but are not limited to, his service as Staff Orthopedic Surgeon and Director of Resident Research at the Eisenhower Army Medical Center, the Associate Clinical Professor at the Medical College of Georgia, and as Orthopedic Consultant to the FDA.
Dr. Pettine, now retired, explains his latest mission in healing, I welcome each of you to become informed regarding mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) so you can make important decisions to help heal yourself and avoid orthopedic and spine surgery. My professional undertaking is to change the current standard of care for orthopedic and spine surgery in the United States through the growing body of research which proves the efficacy of utilizing MSCs to treat various orthopedic and spine pathology and avoid surgery. My mission is to inform patients about the mesenchymal stem cell and its potential for treating numerous orthopedic and spine conditions, with the ultimate goal of decreasing your pain and increasing your function.”
