- Dr. Kenneth Pettersen is a clinician educator specializing in adult primary care and addiction medicine physician at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. He is an Associate Program Director for the UCLA-Olive View Internal Residency Program and an Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. He received his medical degree and completed residency in internal medicine primary care at the University of California San Francisco. He is also board-certified in addiction medicine and is a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. He co-directs the Medications for Addiction Treatment Bridge Program at Olive View - UCLA and collaborates across the LA County Department of Health Services on expanding access to addiction treatment in the safety net. He is a co-investigator for clinical trials including high-dose buprenorphine for patients with fentanyl withdrawal as well as telemedicine treatment for opioid use disorder with buprenorphine.
