Summary
- My wife and I and our two girls have moved to Capitola, CA where I joined with Golden State Orthopedic and Spine (Formerly OrthoNorCal). I am the hand and upper extremity specialist in the south bay and central coast treating adult and pediatric pathologies such as trauma, sports and over use injuries. I also, care for general orthopedic fractures when I take call at Dominican and Watsonville hospitals.
My training began at Robert Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont where I became very interested in orthopedics. My training continued in Texas where I completed my residency at UT health San Antonio. In residency I cared for both pediatric and adult level 1 trauma, performed joint replacement and treated hand/upper extremity pathologies. My experience in San Antonio sparked my interest in hand and upper extremity surgery. I pursued my interest in hand and upper extremity surgery as a fellow at SUNY Upstate Medical College in Syracuse, NY. In fellowship I cared for trauma and overuse injuries of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulders. I was fortunate to have a well rounded experience treating wrist and hand fractures, tendon, nerve and ligaments injuries, instability of the elbow and total elbow replacements and finished off with rotator cuff and total shoulder replacements.
Now I am happy to bring my experience to the south bay and central coast. However, work is not all I do. My family and I enjoy exploring the beaches, parks and mountains around our home. I like outdoor activities such as fresh and salt water fishing, golfing, biking, running and down hill skiing to name a few. I like to learn about the interests of my patients because many of them are very active in outdoor sports and leisure
