Summary

• Dr. Brown received a Master in Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Dr. Brown maintained a solo private practice in Lafayette, Louisiana and served as Medical Director, Vice President for Medical Affairs, and Chief Medical Officer of Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA. He is an Associate Clinical Professor in OB/GYN at LSU Health Science Center Residency Programs and served as Department Head and Chief of Obstetrics-Gynecology at University Medical Center in Lafayette. He received his undergraduate degree from Dillard University in New Orleans, LA.
  Dr. Brown presently consults on matters of Healthcare and Quality Improvement. He is Senior Executive Vice-President for Risk Management and Patient Safety of LAMMICO (Louisiana Medical Mutual Insurance Company) in Metairie, LA.

  Dr. Brown is a Diplomat and Fellow for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and represented ACOG as a Primary Care Fellow at the U.S. Public Health Service and Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, DC. He is a Diplomat and Fellow of the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians (with certification in Healthcare Quality and Management) and is a Fellow of the American Board of Healthcare Executives.
  A past member of The Joint Commission’s Technical Advisory Panel on Quality Measures, the American College of Ob-Gyn (ACOG) Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Committee and Team Leader of the ACOG -VRQC Program.
  He is a founding physician of Women's and Children Hospital in Lafayette, Louisiana and past President of the Lafayette Parish Medical Society. He is a member of the National Medical Association and parliamentarian of the national OB/GYN Section.
