  • Ken Yanagisawa, MD, FACS has practiced Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose and Throat) at SNEENT since 1993. He graduated cum laude from Cornell University, received his medical degree from University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and ENT residency at Yale University School of Medicine. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at Yale University School of Medicine, and an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Frank H Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University.

    Dr Yanagisawa is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS). He just completed his AAO-HNS Presidency, focusing on private practice & management concerns. He is Past President of the CT Ear Nose and Throat Society, New England Otolaryngological Society, and UConn Medical Alumni Association; Past Chair, Secretary, and SEGR Chair of the Board of Governors (BOG) AAO-HNS. He remains very active in legislative affairs.

    Dr Yanagisawa is member of the CT State Medical Society, Community Medical Group, AMA, American Rhinologic Society, American Broncho-Esophagological Association, the Politzer Society, American Association of Otolaryngologic Allergy, and American Society of Geriatric Otolaryngology. He has attending privileges at 5 hospitals and is Chief of Otolaryngology at Saint Raphael Campus, Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH). He is a past member of the YNHH Medical Board, and its Exec Admin Committee.

    He is a Marquis Who's Who Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, a Castle Connolly Top Doctor, and a CT Magazine Top Doctor from 2013-17 & 2021-22.

    He has published over 90 original articles and book chapters. He treats all aspects of General Otolaryngology in pediatric and adult patients.

    He was VP of the Woodbridge Little League, Head Coach of a travel softball team, and a USA Swim Official. He enjoys Zwifting, magic, photography, lawncare/landscaping & hiking.
