  • Dr. LaFave has been providing compassionate, cutting edge patient care to thousands of Florida patients for over 11 years. Dr. LaFave has conducted research, published in scientific journals and presented at national meetings in breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, and head and neck cancer. Additionally, she has authored textbook chapters in lymphoma and pediatric lymphomas. Dr. LaFave has participated in numerous clinical trials.

    Over her career, Dr. LaFave has served in leadership roles on several hospital committees including the Medical Research Protocol Committee, Medical Physician Review Committee, Gastrointestinal and Genitourinary Tumor Board Committees. She also currently serves as the Medical Director for Florida Radiation Oncology.

    Dr. LaFave earned her bachelor’s degree with Honors from Michigan State University. While attending on an academic scholarship, she majored in Human Biology with a Specialization in Health and Humanities. At Michigan State University, she was the recipient of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society’s academic award for being in the top 7.5% of her class.

    Dr. LaFave received her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine where she was awarded the Research Presentation Award for her gastrointestinal cancer research. After medical school, she completed her radiation oncology residency at the University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. While in residency, she was appointed as the Chief Radiation Oncology Resident and was awarded the Clinical Service Award and the American College of Radiation Oncology Annual Meeting Travel Award. Dr. LaFave is board certified in Radiation Oncology.
