Summary
- I am an Associate Professor of Urology in the Department of Urology at Indiana University School of Medicine. I am originally from Tennessee and received my undergraduate degree and medical degree from the University of Tennessee. I completed training in urologic surgery at Indiana University and then completed a 2-year urologic oncology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. While in fellowship, I also completed a Master of Public Heath (MPH) degree with a focus on epidemiology at the University of California, Berkeley. My research interests predominantly focus on the surgical management of advanced testicular cancer and subsequent outcomes. I lead the testicular cancer research efforts within the Department of Urology.
Additionally, I previously have received funding by the National Cancer Institute division of the National Institutes of Health through a K23 grant to study patterns of care in non-muscle invasive bladder cancer.
I am involved in the Society of Urology Oncology, American Urological Association, and the North Central Section of the American Urological Association. I have published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles on prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular cancer and authored text-book chapters on the surgical management of testicular and bladder cancer. I have demonstrated RPLND techniques in surgery within Europe and served as an invited lecturer and visiting professor internationally on the topic of advanced testicular cancer.
