Summary

  • As a high-volume minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon, I serve as a resource to my partners and to other physicians in my community and across the state in managing complex surgical patients who would benefit from a minimally invasive approach to their care.

As president of my practice, I lead our charge to responsibly use healthcare dollars, grow our business to serve more women in our community, and effect change in the local and nationally footprinted healthcare systems with which we operate, all while ensuring that our shareholders needs are met,
financially and otherwise. Current projects include the optimization and growth of our lower volume office, addition of new physicians to the practice, expanding our service-line offerings, partnering with a national provider of umbilical cord and tissue services, and steering the practice through recent cultural and financial challenges, while continuing to oversee more than
5% growth in clinical revenue. During our response to the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic, I was able to lead our practice without lay-offs, pivoting to our advanced virtual visit platform, and maintaining the high level of care our patients expect and deserve. Through creative financial and clinical strategy, our practice recovered from our pandemic response with renewed vigor and increased productivity.

In addition, last year I oversaw the development of our practice's Diversity and Inclusion program, shining a light on an area too long dark in medicine, and particularly in women's health. Along with some of my partners and community resources we have been able to educate providers and staff on a wide range of DEI topics and grow together in our changing world.

As chair of Privia Women’s Health, I am able to expand my vision of comprehensive, connected, up-to-date medical care for women to a national level, helping lead the conversation around patient- and practice- centered innovation in women’s health.
