- Dr. Kaveh Zivari attended the University of California Los Angeles where he obtained Bachelor of Science in Neurosciences with Honors. He later received his medical degree from the University of California, Davis School of Medicine. He was the class president during those 4 years. He finished four years of General Surgery, followed by three years of Internal Medicine, and three years of Gastroenterology fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center. He was also the Chief GI fellow at Maimonides Medical Center. During his training, Dr. Zivari was named best Intern, Best resident, and later best fellow in the hospital. He obtained his advanced endoscopy training at Washington University in St Louis, specializing in endobariatric, third space endoscopy, and interventional endoscopy.
