- I am a Board Certified Neurologist specializing in Vascular Neurology. I am the Director of the Comprehensive Stroke Center at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Memphis.
I focus on the prevention, treatment and recovery of Acute Cerebrovascular Diseases in the hospital setting as well as the optimization of systems of stroke care.
I graduated with a Medical Degree from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Mumbai. I completed my residency in Adult Neurology at the University of Texas, Health Science center, Houston. I also completed my Fellowship in Vascular Neurology at the University of Texas, Health Science center, Houston.
In addition to clinical medicine training, I have a Masters in Neuroscience from Tulane University.
I have many years of experience in Pre-clinical and clinical research in topics relating to Stems cells and their applications in stroke recovery, Acute Stroke management, Mechanical Thrombectomy, Post-Stroke recovery.
