Summary
- Dr. Kathryn Gallaway received her MD from UT Southwestern Medical Center in May 2022 and was pleased to join the medical team at DAVA Oncology. Kathryn developed an interest in oncology the summer before medical school after reading The Emperor of All Maladies by Siddhartha Mukherjee which chronicles the history of cancer treatment and the emergence of paradigm-shifting targeted therapies. During her time at UT Southwestern, Kathryn was actively involved in bone and soft tissue sarcoma research with the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. She is excited for the opportunity to transition these interests and skills into the professional world of clinical and translational research and looks forward to a career that exemplifies her desire for life-long learning and patient impact.
