With active medical licensure in both the United States and the United Kingdom, she received her medical degree from University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed Residency training in Pathology and Hematopathology specialty training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She speaks English and German. With a special interest in digital Pathology and Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Alexander has contributed as an expert in the design of AI platforms, championed the implementation of digital systems in the US VA, and co- leads digital innovation at Q2. Alongside directorship of a wet lab performing 10 million tests per year, she is a global Principal Investigator on numerous clinical trials.
