Summary

• Kathleen A. Ward, MD, FACR, FAAWR served as Medical Director of Women’s Health Imaging and Medical Director as well as Section Chief of Breast Imaging at Loyola University Health System from 2007 until 2016. She holds the title of Associate Professor of Radiology at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. Dr. Ward received her MD degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology as well as fellowship training in Computed Tomography and Ultrasound at Loyola University Medical Center. A Fellow of the American College of Radiology, she is Past President of the Chicago Radiological Society, the Illinois Radiological Society, and the American Association for Women Radiologists. She is currently serving a third six-year term as Councilor on the Executive Council of the American College of Radiology and currently serves as Alternate Councilor. Dr. Ward is a manuscript reviewer for the American Journal of Radiology and the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine. In honor of her outstanding service to radiology, Dr. Ward was recognized with the 2012 Chicago Radiological Society Gold Medal for Distinguished Service. She was also recognized with the 2016 Loyola University of Chicago Stritch School of Medicine Alumni of the Year Award for Excellence in Service to Patients and was inducted in the inaugural class of Fellows of the American Association for Women Radiologists.
