Katherine Atkinson, MD (she/her) is a family Physician based in Amherst and Northampton, MA. She completed her medical degree at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and proceeded with her residency in Family Medicine at the same institution. Dr Atkinson is Board Certified in Family Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice.
Dr. Atkinson has been recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance, receiving awards from their Patient-Centered Medical Home Recognition program and Physician Practice Connections Recognition program. She has been awarded the Outstanding Teacher of Family Medicine with the Mass Academy of Family Practice as well as teaching awards at UMass and Dartmouth Medical Schools. Dr Atkinson serves on the Board of Trustees for the Massachusetts Medical Society.
