Summary
- Kashif J. Piracha is a board certified internal medicine and nephrology physician, who has been in clinical practice for 13 years. He has extensive patient care experience and is the recipient of numerous awards including "Physician Recognition Award with Commendation" twice from AMA and also the "Certificate of Appreciation for setting standards of Excellence in Training" from the VA.
Dr. Piracha has been involved in medical education for a long time. He is currently the Internal Medicine Clerkship Director for Texas A&M College of Medicine at Methodist Willowbrook Site in Houston, Texas. He has given presentations on a variety of clinical topics over the years and published articles in medical journals and on Linkedin. His research paper "Sarcoidosis - An Atypical Scenario" won him First Place Award on Annual Research Day at Memorial Health University in Savannah, Georgia in June 2005. He is also the writer of "The Internal Medicine Blog" on Facebook and "Peak Learning System" youtube channel. In addition, he was selected by ACP to review MKSAP 19, and by Medstudy for their next Core Curriculum.
He is passionate about structuring an environment that promotes superior quality medical education to train our medical students, residents, fellows, nurses, mid-level providers and practicing physicians, so they have the skills and knowledge necessary to uphold the high standards of delivering excellent health care in the years to come.
He would love to collaborate on projects that align with his goals of spreading evidence-based medical knowledge, whether it be through formal in-person teaching or online content creation. He is equally enthusiastic about opportunities for collaboration in medical writing, reviewing, editing or speaking. His ultimate goal is dissemination of quality medical education that can make a difference in the lives of people.
