- Dr. Kara Stuart Lewis is a Child Neurologist at Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children's Hospital. She is the Medical Director for Fetal Neurology at PCH. She was the Program Director for the Child Neurology Residency until July 2021 when she transitioned that role to Dr. Tara Mangum, and then served as Dr. Mangum's Associate Program Director for 6 months. She received her medical degree from University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson and did her training at Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital. She holds faculty appointments at University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix, Mayo College of Medicine, and Creighton University College of Medicine and greatly enjoys teaching learners at all levels. She is experienced in general child neurology, and is UCNS certified in Headache Medicine. She has a strong interest in the growing field of fetal neurology, and works closely with the Center for Fetal Care at Phoenix Children’s Hospital to provide timely prenatal consults for CNS anomalies discovered in utero. She is on the national Medical Advisory Committee for Make-A-Wish America.
