Kara (Kara-Grace) Leventhal, MD, is a hospitalist based in Baltimore, MD. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Michigan from 2018 to 2021, following her graduation from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2018. Dr. Leventhal has contributed to various scholarly publications, including a recent work on rapid response event review processes for quality improvement published in BMJ Open Quality. Her academic work focuses on prevention of aspiration pneumonia in the hospital as well as clinical operations. She Her past research has been extensively cited, particularly her study on genetic counseling published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, which has been cited 201 times. In 2009, she received the Best Poster Award from the American Society of Preventive Oncology.
