  • Dr. Kara Kelly was appointed in February 2016 as the Waldemar J. Kaminski Endowed Chair of Pediatrics and Professor of Oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Division Chief of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Oishei Children’s Hospital of Buffalo and Professor of Pediatrics at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo. Up until that point, Dr. Kelly held a position as the James A. Wolff Professor of Pediatrics at Columbia University Medical Center/New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital and Associate Director of the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/Stem Cell Transplantation where she had been a member of the faculty since 1996. A pediatric oncologist with expertise in the care of children and adolescents with leukemia and lymphoma, Dr. Kelly has been chair of the Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) committee for the Children’s Oncology Group (COG) since 2011, and has served as study chair for two trials for children and adolescents with newly diagnosed high risk Hodgkin Lymphoma. In her current role, she oversees the development and conduct of a large portfolio of clinical trials and correlative studies aimed at improving the care of children and adolescents with Hodgkin lymphoma.
