- Dr. Kanekal Suresh Gautham is a neonatologist and and Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando, FL. He was former Chair of Pediatrics at Nemours Children's Hospital. Prior to this he was the Chief of Neonatology at Texas Children's Hospital and a tenured professor at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. In addition to extensive clinical training in pediatrics and neonatology he has a Master of Science degree in clinical evaluative sciences from Dartmouth College. His expertise lies in neonatology, evidence-based medicine, patient safety, quality improvement, and leadership. He is a popular teacher and invited speaker on these topics, and has taught numerous workshops at national and international conferences. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in prestigious journals, multiple book chapters, and is the editor of two well-known neonatology textbooks.
