Summary
- Dr Rountree is a New Jersey native and matriculated from the Honors College of Rutgers University in Newark, NJ with a BA in Biology. She completed her medical education at A.T. Still – Kirksville College of Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, graduating with ΣΣΦ honors.
She then completed a five-year general surgery residency at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, MI. She finished her post-graduate training with a vascular surgery fellowship at The University of Missouri in Columbia, MO.
Professionally Dr Rountree is a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, an Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and member of the Midwestern Society of Vascular Surgery. She is active with the Henry Ford Macomb general surgery residency serving as core teaching faculty, and with Michigan State University College of Medicine as a Clinical Professor.
In returning Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, Dr Rountree is passionate about elevating the quality of vascular care and improving patient access to vascular surgery. She is excited to bring advanced care strategies and hybrid surgery techniques to the community hospital setting. She believes strongly in personalizing medicine; in taking time with her patients and their families to make sure they understand diagnoses, treatment plans and expected outcomes.
