K Donald Shelbourne MD
Orthopedic Sports Medicine
Our office is now at Community/Westview hospital. We are the Shelbourne Knee Center and treat only patients with knee problems. We have 7 in house knee only therapists and most patients problems can be corrected with nonop treatment. If surgery is needed our patients all have their own PT to make the rehab work for them with the desired outcome. We also collect outcome data on our patients.

Summary
- We are the only knee specialty center and have our own in house rehab therapist that work will all of our patients to ensure proper outcomes. We specialize in treating all patients nonop if we can. If surgery is needed the same therapists work with their patients postop to ensure they have the best outcomes. We follow all of our patients with data collections on their outcomes and use this data to improve our outcomes over time. We not only collect short term results but have an in house research staff of 4 people that help us follow out patients results for years after their treatment to make sure what we're doing now is understood for how this allows them to function for years in the future. We have follow up data on our ACL patients now greater than 20 years on over 820 patients. This allows us to tell the younger patients we have how they will do in their future and allows us to change things that we do now based on this data. Collecting this data over the years has allowed us to improve our short and long term results for all of our patients.
